    ✦ STRUCTURAL DEVOTION ✦

    Not performance. Not religion.

A Relationship with JesusAs I have come to know it.

    This is not theology.

This is the record of a life being gradually aligned with Truth.

Everything here is written to Jesus.

Everything that follows is the witness of what His presence has quietly transformed within me.

    Not through perfection.
    Not through performance.
But through the continual work of Truth within the vessel.

These prayers, reflections, and devotions are not intended to teach. They simply bear witness to what a relationship with Jesus has come to mean to me.

"Apart from Me you can do nothing.": therefore, everything here begins and ends with Him.

    ✦ A Reflection ✦

What does a relationship with Jesus mean to me?

For a long time, I thought a relationship with Jesus would resemble my relationships with other people.

    I imagined companionship.
    A voice beside me.
A presence I would recognise in familiar ways.

Over time, something deeper revealed itself.

Jesus is not simply someone I walk beside.

    Jesus is Truth.

That changes the nature of the relationship entirely.

A relationship with Jesus is, at the same time, a relationship with Truth itself.

Truth does not merely accompany a person.

    It transforms them.

    It quietly enters perception.
    Language.
    Conscience.
    Discernment.
    Action.
    Love.
The architecture of the vessel itself.

Looking back, I realise Jesus had already answered my prayer long before I knew how to recognise Him.

I kept searching for Him outside of me while He was patiently reshaping me from within.

    Not because I was perfect.

But because Truth does what Truth has always done.

    It reveals.
    It aligns.
    It corrects.
    It dismantles distortion.

And slowly, almost imperceptibly, it begins to transform the person who is willing to remain with it.

Today, when I say that I have a relationship with Jesus, I do not simply mean that I believe certain things about Him.

I mean that I have entered into an ongoing relationship with Truth itself.

A relationship that continually asks me:

Will you remain with what is true, even when it costs you?

Will you allow yourself to be corrected?

Will you surrender what is comfortable for what is real?

For me, this is what it means to walk with Jesus.

Not merely to know that He is near.

But to become increasingly aligned with Him.

Until truthfulness is no longer something I practice occasionally...

but something that quietly becomes the way I live.

    Drawing the strand...
