12. Advertising measurement and your choice
We use Google Ads to measure advertising and aim for engaged visits: sixty seconds with an individual Grief Series movement or the public Metacon record visible. This indicates time on a page, not proof of reading or reflection.
When permitted, Google receives page addresses, device and browser information, advertising identifiers and engagement events. We do not share reflection writing, email addresses or account details for this measurement, and do not use this installation for personalized advertising or reader lists. See Google's data information.
In the UK, EEA, Switzerland and regions where location is unresolved, Google's tag and events are blocked until you accept advertising measurement. Ordinary measurement elsewhere honours refusal and browser opt-outs. Canada receives the consent notice because country-level location cannot resolve Quebec.
Your device retains an anonymous consent reference, region, dated choices and the exact notice version shown. Later withdrawal preserves the earlier acceptance record and stops new engagement reporting; blocked events are not replayed. Opening settings does not change your current choice. These records remain on your device until you clear site storage.
