    THE ECHOES ALONG THE WAY

    A Lesson Learned

    Inscribed August 29, 2026

Perhaps that is what some encounters are.

    Echoes.

They are not necessarily the destination. They are not necessarily meant to stay. But they carry something.

    A frequency.

    A recognition.

A piece of information you didn't have before you met them.

And sometimes the echo is enough to make you realise what your heart has actually been listening for.

That is what makes it so strange.

Because if an echo can ring this deeply...

imagine what the source can do. 🤯

If the faint return of something can awaken this much recognition, what happens when you encounter the thing itself?

What happens when there is no distance between the signal and its origin?

When the bandwidth you've been searching for isn't approximated, but met?

When you don't have to translate your mind.

When you don't have to slow your thinking.

When you don't have to wonder whether the intensity is reciprocal.

When the energy coming toward you isn't something you have to generate, interpret, or amplify.

    It simply arrives.

And perhaps that is the lesson hidden inside the echo.

    Not "This was it."

    But:

"Now I know what it sounds like."

    That changes everything.

Because I don't need to resent the echo for not being the source.

I can be grateful that it taught me to recognise a frequency I might otherwise have walked past.

And perhaps that is what the experiences along the way are for.

    They refine perception.

    They sharpen discernment.

They teach us the difference between possibility and reality.

They show us where we rush.

    Where we project.

    Where we compromise.

Where we recognise something real but mistake the recognition for the arrival.

I've learned that I can move very quickly when I see possibility.

My mind sees architecture before the foundation has finished drying. 😂

Next time, I'll let the building reveal itself.

    I'll watch.

    I'll listen.

    I'll stay present.

I'll let time tell me what imagination cannot.

Because I don't want to arrive at the ending before I've lived the beginning.

And perhaps that is the quiet gift of the echo.

It doesn't promise me the source.

It simply leaves me with a question.

If this was only the echo...

what on earth will it feel like when the source speaks?

    One question awaits you.
